Exquisite Collectible French Vintage High Glazed Ceramic EMAUX Footed Pedestal Plate "Coupe sur Pied" or "Coupelle" in French. The model is called Fleurs de Pommiers "Apple Tree Flower Apple Blossom" - “Decor 188 Reference 3020” and was made by well-known faience factory of Longwy, in France. Stamped on the back side “Ref 3020 Decor 188 - Decore a la main - Emaux de Longwy – Made in France".
The French Faiencerie "Emaux de Longwy" company was founded in 1798. In 1816, Longwy was sold to jean Antoine de Nothomb whose wife was Catherine Boch, daughter of Pierre Boch, hence a lot of likeliness exists between these 2 factories. Based on my research of the stamp on the bottom, this piece dates to the early 1900s

In lovely rustic vintage condition, due to the age there is some discoloration and the original crazing from the firing process with age appropriate wear. Overall, very good and there are no real chips or cracks in the surface. Please take a look at photos and use ZOOM for detail.

**Special Note about aged Porcelain**
If you are not accustomed to this ‘look’, google crazing and the aging process of porcelain. The Japanese use crazing to add an artistic look to their pieces whereas antiques go through the natural aging process. Crazing is cracking in the surface of the plate due to use sometimes it's even and is called the crackle look and other times it is random.

I ship using Colissimo (La Poste International service) which includes tracking. minimum insurance and estimated delivery dates (which is normally faster than the processing times in my policy section).
