French Antique Bentwood Grain Sieve Sifter/Vintage Shaker Style Grain Sifter/Grain Sieve/Flour Screen is made of Bentwood, wire mesh and then held together with nails. Set of 2 - 1 large and another smaller one.
These lovely unique shaker style grain sieve sifter were used back in the day on the farm for sifting grains like barley and wheat, and rice. Given the age and neglect, I decided to clean the surface with all natural soap and water to remove the years of residue and dust then I finished and protected the wood surface in Miss Mustard's seed cannabis oil (food safe).
They can be displayed by hanging them on a wall in your French Country kitchen alone or in a grouping/vignette and they can also be used as shelves for decorative storage.

In lovely rustic vintage condition. Although, it's been cleaned, there are still signs of aging such as minor rust marks around the nails, small marks in the wood and discoloration and 1 small hole on the mess screen in the larger sifter as shown in the photos. Please take a look at photos and use ZOOM to review the detail of the photos. Please ask if you are unsure.

For larger items, I ship using Colissimo (La Poste International service) which includes tracking, minimum insurance and estimated delivery dates (which is normally faster than the processing times in my policy section).
