1900s ~ French Vintage Wooden Postal Box ~ Antique Pine Mailing Box ~ Large Wooden Stamped Postal Box

This French antique large wooden postal box is made of pine, is light weight and has 2 little metal latches on the top opening. It was used in the early 1900's by the French postal service to deliver delicate valuable items before carton was used. It is seal with wax on each side with the initials JG where it was previously tied up with strings and sealed to prevent tampering.

You can faintly seal the stamps and lettering on the front of the box such as "ENVOIE DE COUISE NANTES with a postal code". You can also see some handwriting.

--- Condition ---

In good vintage condition but due to it's age it has marks of wear such as scratches in the surface, faded surface and the top is not fully flat however I think this is what gives it its charm and beauty. The wood is naturally distressed but it has been cleaned and shined with 100% natural miss mustard seed hemp oil. Please take a look at the photos closely and use ZOOM for detail.

WORLDWIDE SHIPPING AVAILABLE.   I ship all my products using the French Postal Service (La Poste). For larger items. I ship using Colissimo (La Poste International service) which includes tracking. minimum insurance and estimated delivery dates (which is normally faster than the processing times in my policy section). If you want additional information about insurance or tracking for smaller items. please contact me for details on the supplemental change.

All items are shipped from France to all over the world and I welcome multiple orders to consolidate shipments to help reduce shipping fees where possible.

To be economically responsible and not charge handling fees. when available. I try to use recycled materials for my packaging while being mindful that the materials are suitable to ensure the safest expedition to protect your purchase during the delivery process. I pack very carefully especially fragile items and I check to make sure I'm using the most cost-efficient method.
