Lovely Rustic French Antique Collectible Hardcover Book "Livre" in French. This lovely edition titled Au Japon Choses Vues written by Clive Hollard and translated from English by Lugne Philipan. Published in 1908 by Vuibert et Nony Editeurs (63, Boulevard Saint German PARIS). There are 48 pages of illustrations (drawings or photographs) of images in Japan's famous villages.
Not only is this book a wonderful addition to a collectors library but It's a real interior design delight as it would pop in any room and is a real conversation piece as a representation of French literature's rich history!!

In rustic vintage condition. Given the age and usage, there are areas of heavy fading, tearing on the edges, surface marks, there are liquid stains and soiling, spine, cover and gilt have traces of discoloration and is scatter with foxing on endpapers and in the margins, stains and discoloration especially on each page of the book, the cover is faded and worn, edges have wear, holes and are ripped and the binding is fragile as there are pages where you can see the binding in the inner edge and other blemishes shown in the photos and collages.
