This lovely French Antique Metal Farmhouse Bucket was used back in the day to manufacture of wine/cider/olive oil - carry and measure liquids.
It is Marked on the front with the measurement "Demi-Decalitre" which is about 1.3 gallons in US measurements and is used to hold and measure up to 5 liters of liquid as there are numbers on the inside surface on each side.
I was told it was hand forged and made of steel and is fixed with a side handle and top swiveling wire handle for easy pouring.
This is a fabulous decorative item and would look great in any country kitchen or industrial chic contemporary setting. It can be used for carry liquids or for decorative purposes such as a garden planter, table centerpiece, a vase for flowers or any elegant special display. This is a lovely item and rare given it's size and condition.

This item is in rustic distressed vintage condition and has a lovey patina however due to it's age there are minor surface scratches, dents and marks in the surface however I believe this is what gives it charm and tells it's story. It has been cleaned and I removed as much of the rust as possible. Very good quality, no holes, no leaks and is usable. Please take a look at the photos closely and use zoom for detail.
