PLEASE NOTE: I have 9 Plates in Total but this listing price is for ONE 1 Plate. The listing is programmed to allow you to select a quantity you wish purchase. Please ask me if the shipping doesn't make sense as the Etsy system is NOT programmed in France to calculate the shipping automatically so it's a manual entry subject to error. If the shipping is not correct, I always refund overages when processing my orders.
--- Condition ---
They are in rustic vintage condition due to the age however there are certainly signs of usage and lovely imperfections such as some pattern bleeding/fading in certain spots, subtle utensil marks in the surface, manufacturing marks and surface bumps from the glazing process, areas around the edge that are not smooth as the varnish is chipped, they all have signs of crazing with some discoloration on the surface in certain areas and more detail by plate below:
Plate N# 5&6 : There is a visible chip on the back edge of the plate.
Blemishes more visible in the photos (refer to the collage and us ZOOM).
Please take a look at the photos closely and use ZOOM for details on the plate especially the photo collages. If you are not sure, please ask me questions about the condition of the plates and request more photos.
**Special Note about aged Porcelain**
If you are not accustomed to this ‘look’, google crazing and the aging process of porcelain. The Japanese use crazing to add an artistic look to their pieces whereas antiques go through the natural aging process. Crazing is cracking in the surface of the plate due to use sometimes it's even and is called the crackle look and other times it is random.
These items are old, were used and were manufactured at a time when processes were less under control as today. Therefore, in addition to the defects identified and reported in the ad, slight dimensional differences or deviations in the color or in the decoration between the different parts could be noted. Besides, some little marks or small manufacturing imperfections such as minor defects in the glaze or in the varnish etc., may also be observed.
