--- General Condition for all pieces ---
In rustic vintage condition considering it's age. There are lovely imperfections such as manufacturing/glazing marks on the surface, pattern fading/bleeding in areas and minor marks/scratches on the surface, wear in the protective glaze, manufacturing marks blemishes where the surface isn't smooth, small chips in the varnish mostly around the edges, age spots marks in the varnish and manufacturing/firing spots from the glazing process and there is some age crackle crazing from other firing process. All the decorative blemishes are shown in the photos, please use ZOOM on the photos and collages to see the detail with more precision. Ask me if you are unsure.
**Special Note about aged Porcelain**
If you are not accustomed to this ‘look’, google crazing and the aging process of porcelain. The Japanese use crazing to add an artistic look to their pieces whereas antiques go through the natural aging process. Crazing is cracking in the surface of the plate due to use sometimes it's even and is called the crackle look and other times it is random.
These items are old and were manufactured and used in a time period when processes were not as sophistication, mechanical or controlled as they are today. Therefore, in addition to the defects identified and documented in my listing, there are slight dimensional differences/deviations in the color/decoration between the different patterns and some little marks or small manufacturing imperfections such as minor defects in the glaze or in the varnish. Each plate is not identically the same which to me is art and shows it's history.
