Lovely Colorful French Vintage Transferware Flat Edge Hollow Soup Plate "Assiette Creuse" in French.  Made by famous French manufacturer of Earthware (Faïenceries) "Sarreguemines" France, in Terre de Fer.    Stamped "CLARENCE Edite par Sarreguemines France - Decor Garanti inalterable"

--- Condition ---

In good vintage condition due to the age however there are certainly signs of usage and imperfections such as some pattern bleeding/fading in certain spots, subtle utensil marks in the surface, manufacturing marks and surface bumps from the glazing process, subtle surface crazing with minor discoloration on the surface in certain areas and more detail by Soup Plate below:

Soup Plate N#5 has an aged hairline on the side edge visible on both sides.                Soup Plate N#6 has an aged hairline on side edge visible on both sides and a chip on the back edge                                                                                                                    Soup Plate N#7 has a chip on the front edge which blends with the plattern              Soup Plate N#8 has several small chips on the front edge which also blends with the blend.   

Blemishes shown in the photos (refer to the collages). Please take a look at the photos closely and use ZOOM for details on the plate especially the photo collages. If you are not sure, please ask me questions about the condition of the plates and request more photos.

**Special Note about aged Porcelain**
If you are not accustomed to this ‘look’, google crazing and the aging process of porcelain. The Japanese use crazing to add an artistic look to their pieces whereas antiques go through the natural aging process. Crazing is cracking in the surface of the plate due to use sometimes it's even and is called the crackle look and other times it is random.

These items are old, were used and were manufactured at a time when processes were less under control as today. Therefore, in addition to the defects identified and reported in the ad, slight dimensional differences or deviations in the color or in the decoration between the different parts could be noted. Besides, some little marks or small manufacturing imperfections such as minor defects in the glaze or in the varnish etc., may also be observed.

I ship using Colissimo (La Poste International service) which includes tracking. minimum insurance and estimated delivery dates (which is normally faster than the processing times in my policy section).
