Lovely French Vintage Hand Painted decorative floral Plate. There are 3 different floral designs in total in this series 1 in red roses 1 in yellow roses and 1 with the tulips displayed in the center of the cream ironstone in vivid colors of green, red, yellow and blue.
These were made by the famous German manufacturer Villeroy & Boch but in France and is Floral decor n° 1562. Stamped on the back 'Villeroy & Boch, Mettlach, Made in Sarre in 1950/60s, part of the series "ALT STRASSBURG". They are each stamped as such on the back center of each plate. This pattern dates back to 1947 to 1956.

--- Condition ---
In good vintage condition. Due to age, there are some signs of usage such as pattern fading, utensil marks on the surface, manufacturing spots on the surface from the glazing process, light traces of discoloration and more detail by plate below
Dinner Plate N#1&2: There is light surface crazing but no real chips or cracks in the surface.
Soup Plate N#2: There is a small chip on the green trim.
Soup Plate N#4: There is a tiny spot on the green trim and light surface crazing.
Soup Plate N#5, 6 & 8: There is light surface crazing but no real chips or cracks in the surface.

Special Note about aged Porcelain:
If you are not accustomed to this ‘look’, google crazing and the aging process of porcelain. The Japanese use crazing to add an artistic look to their pieces whereas antiques go through the natural aging process.

Approximately...Dinner Plate: 25 cm diameter x 2 cm height. Soup Plate: 25 cm diameter x 4 cm height & 450 grams each not including the packaging weight.

I ship using Colissimo (La Poste International service) which includes tracking. minimum insurance and estimated delivery dates (which is normally faster than the processing times in my policy section).
