French Antique Grain Sack ~ "Potasse d'Alsace" ~ Farm Agriculture Advertising Bag ~ "Sac en Jute"

Large Rustic French Vintage Antique Farmers Grain Sack made of Jute/Hessian/Burlap. This heavy textile that was made for agricultural use for farms in Some of the sacks have stenciled lettering with the merchants name, French department and/or images on the front side. 

Pattern A - Imprinted on the front surface "1546 ~ Potasse d'Alsace - Marque déposée - Chlorure de potassium - 60% minimum de potasse soluble dans l'eau - Société commerciale des potasses d'Alsace Mulhouse" which means in English "1546 Potash from Alsace Registered trademark Potassium chloride 60% minimum of water-soluble potash. Alsace Mulhouse potash trading company.

It can be used for a wall hanging home decor or an upholstery project.

--- Condition ---

In rustic heavily used vintage condition. Given the age, these pieces have lived a full life and as such have many surface strains, holes (more holes N#4), marks, tears in the material and stitches, areas of repair (stitching holes) however I believe this is what makes this piece unique and just adds to its rustic charm, beauty and character. I washed these in an industrial dry cleaning washing machine on the delicate cycle then let them air dry. I iron each one and made sure they no longer smelt like an old farm. They still have a smell of fiber and they do still shed a little fiber from time to time but that can't be removed. If you want to clean them further I suggest dry cleaning them. Please take a look at the photos closely and use ZOOM for detail of the condition of each sack. Please ask me if you are unsure. .

I ship using Colissimo (La Poste International service) which includes tracking. minimum insurance and estimated delivery dates (which is normally faster than the processing times in my policy section).
