Charming rustic Vintage glazed ceramic enameled stoneware oval baking pan In French this is called "Poelons en terre cuites vernissée" This lovely piece has a two toned orange yellow oval surface and a beige interior. It was traditionally used to cook items that need to be melted like gratin or specially cooked over time like foie gras (duck liver pate). It is designed so that the bottom and sides heat evenly, which helps prevent uneven cooking and scorching.
Stamped on the bottom "Cerimport c.c.a" - No4br. Made by the famous French maker of culinary stoneware since 1984, Cerimport Industries which is located Plouay, France.
This can be used for cooking or use your imagination as it's great for your unique interior design needs. It has lots of charm!

In rustic vintage condition given it's age. There are marks of usage, age marks in the varnish and manufacturing spots from the glazing process and lovely age crackle crazing from other firing process, the green color has some color contrast in the patina which really adds to it's charm, the bottom and inside of the pot shows signed of being on the fire for cooking and has surface scratches and there are 2 areas in the collage at have smooth chips from use or it was fired like this so manufacturing blemish. All the decorative blemishes are shown in the photos, please use ZOOM to see with more precision.
