Charming rustic French Vintage glazed ceramic enameled stoneware oval baking pan In French this is called "Poelons en terre cuites vernissée" This lovely unique piece has a green oval surface and a brown interior and is decorated with an embossed inner edge with farm animals ("Sanglier" which is a wild boar in English) mushrooms. It is traditionally used to cook items that need to be melted like gratin or specially cooked over time like foie gras (duck liver pate). It is designed so that the bottom and sides heat evenly, which helps prevent uneven cooking and scorching. There is a Sticker with the maker or item name "SANGLIER".
These products are made from raw resin boards machined on a milling machine. Them a porous resin is poured into a casing board, and, once solidified, the new porous resin mold is extracted, mounted on a die casting machine and injected with high pressure in a mold cavity. After a time of filtration, the mold is opened and the ceramic piece is thus formed, ready to be dried and fired.
This can be used for cooking or use your imagination as it's great for your unique interior design needs. It has lots of charm!

In rustic vintage condition given it's age. There are marks of usage, age marks in the varnish and manufacturing spots from the glazing process and lovely age crackle crazing from other firing process, the green color has some color contrast in the patina which really adds to it's charm, the bottom and inside of the pot shows signed of being on the fire for cooking and has surface scratches or it was fired like this so manufacturing blemish.
