French Vintage Wooden Bread Slicer with Crumb Collector & Hinged Stainless Steel Knife "Coupe Pain Ramasse Miettes en Bois ou Guillotine" in French.   Knife is signed and made in France by Roger Orfevre - Fabricant Francaise depuis 1924.   The wood is oiled beech wood and the grid allows you to cut all types of bread without damaging the bread and it removable for easy cleaning.   

The French cutting board is a great addition for your French country kitchen. Prop on your country or use as a rustic serving tray. I cleaned it with soap and water then put 100% natural miss mustard seed hemp oil as a protective finish.

Approximately 39 cm length x 19 cm width x 9 cm height. Knife: 38 cm x 6 cm x 25 cm blade & 1325 grams in total not including the packaging weight

--- Condition ---

In rustic used vintage condition.  Given the age, there are signs of usage and the piece has an aged distressed look with many decorative imperfections as it's clearly handmade has marks, the wood has many rustic blemishes (nicks, holes, black surface marks, cracks and dents in the wood). As mentioned, It was been cleaned with natural soaps and water and is food safe. Please take a look at the photos closely and use ZOOM for detail.

These items are old, were previously used and were manufactured at a time when processes were less under control as today. Therefore, in addition to the defects identified and reported in the listing, slight dimensional differences or deviations in the color or in the decoration between the different parts could be noted. Besides, some little marks or small manufacturing imperfections such as minor defects in the glaze or in the varnish etc., may also be observed.

**Special Note about aged Porcelain**
If you are not accustomed to this ‘look’, google crazing and the aging process of porcelain. The Japanese use crazing to add an artistic look to their pieces whereas antiques go through the natural aging process. Crazing is cracking in the surface of the plate due to use sometimes it's even and is called the crackle look and other times it is random.
