French German Vintage Ironstone Covered Serving Piece, Soup Tureen, Vegetable Dish and "Soupiere" or "Légumière" in French.  Pattern name is PERLEN and was made by famous maker of Earthenware or "Faience", VILLEROY & BOCH Mettlach.  Stamped "Villeroy & Boch Mettlach - Geschirr PERLEN", circa 1890-1910.

Approximately 29 cm height handle of cover ( 17 cm height body only) x 36 cm length with side handles x 26 cm width x 23.5 cm top diameter & 2800 grams not including the packaging weight.

--- Condition ---

In good vintage condition. Due to the age, there are signs of usage such as some heavy  pattern fading paint bleeding in certain spots, marks in the inside surface and there is visible crazing and discoloration spots as shown in the photos/collages. Please ask me if you are unsure. I can provide more photos upon request. PLEASE use ZOOM to review closely the detail and condition especially with the photo collages.

These items are old, were previously used and were manufactured at a time when processes were less under control as today. Therefore, in addition to the defects identified and reported in the listing, slight dimensional differences or deviations in the color or in the decoration between the different parts could be noted. Besides, some little marks or small manufacturing imperfections such as minor defects in the glaze or in the varnish etc., may also be observed.

**Special Note about aged Porcelain**
If you are not accustomed to this ‘look’, google crazing and the aging process of porcelain. The Japanese use crazing to add an artistic look to their pieces whereas antiques go through the natural aging process. Crazing is cracking in the surface of the plate due to use sometimes it's even and is called the crackle look and other times it is random.
