1920s ~ French Antique Polychrome Egg Display Basket ~ "Panier à Oeuf Présentoir Coquetier en Faience" ~ Ceramic Egg Cup Stand ~ Presentation Egg Caddy

French Antique Polychrome Decorative Egg Cup Basket, Ceramic Egg Display Stand or Ironstone Earthenware Egg Presentation Caddy, cicra 1920s.   "Panier à Oeuf Présentoir Serviteur Oeufrier Coquetier terre de fer en Faience" in French.   Although there is some numbers and writing on the bottom surface, I am not certain which famous maker made this piece.   It's very close to either being Luneville KG, Longchamp or Sarrguemines.

This Stunning piece has been well maintained and decorated with bright green leaves, marron red and lavender purple flowers with brown stems and edges.    The design and vivid colors are exquisite.

Approximately 18.5 cm length x 13.5 cm width x 14 cm height & 750 grams not including the packaging weight.

In lovely used vintage condition.  There are signs of usages and age such as minor surface wear and marks spots on the surface, pattern fading bleeding, age crackle and slight discoloartion in certain areas as shown in the photos.  Please take a look at photos and use ZOOM for detail and ask me if you are unsure.

These items are old, were previously used and were manufactured at a time when processes were less under control as today. Therefore, in addition to the defects identified and reported in the listing, slight dimensional differences or deviations in the color or in the decoration between the different parts could be noted. Besides, some little marks or small manufacturing imperfections such as minor defects in the glaze or in the varnish etc., may also be observed.

**Special Note about aged Porcelain**
If you are not accustomed to this ‘look’, google crazing and the aging process of porcelain. The Japanese use crazing to add an artistic look to their pieces whereas antiques go through the natural aging process. Crazing is cracking in the surface of the plate due to use sometimes it's even and is called the crackle look and other times it is random.
